commits theft against family

The robbery incident happened January 18, 2015, lunch time. The niece of former Zamboanga Mayor held a children’s party inside the family compound. The family contacted the Jollibee store in the city to provide the usual “party package,” complete with food and mascots.

During the said party, the mascots demanded for a place to dress up, specifically, an area where guests can not see them change into costumes. According to them, this is the policy of the company. In good faith, the family opened the house of Zamboanga City former Mayor Manny Dalipe.

The Jollibee crew was asked to use the living room.

Soon after the party, the Mayor’s son discovered that his paid of Oakley shades were missing. He remembers putting it in the living room. Also discovered missing were 5 pairs of shoes.

The homeowners filed their complaint to the branch manager of Jollibee in Zamboanga. On the evening of January 19, the manager informed the complainants that some stolen items have been recovered: the Oakley shades and 4 pairs of basketball shoes. Recovered items were returned to the complainants.

The Jollibee store in Zamboanga promised to pay for the unrecovered item, a pair of basketball shoes. The Jollibee ‘mascots’ entered the locked rooms of the house while they were dressing up.
