JUAN SAYS: “What on earth is going on?” This seems to be the question lingering in the minds of commuters and motorists as the inched their way along EDSA last night. We say how many of our friends ranted on social media their horrible experience of #Traffic in EDSA. Ano nga bang bago dun? Pay day weekend. Long weekend pa. This should have been expected. But what made the traffic conditions worse was throngs and throngs of INC members taking their “cause” to the streets, harassing Secretary de Lima in the process as former INC minister and former Editor-In-Chief of the sect’s publication “Pasugo,” Isaias Samson filed a formal complaint to the Department of Justice of illegal detention.

We couldn’t care less about the INC. We even published an article here in juan.com.ph that whatever crisis the sect is going through is an internal issue and we have no business meddling what is going on inside their church. But to purposely hamper the traffic on a pay day weekend along EDSA? This is another story.

We have been searching and searching for stories over the internet to find relevant statements from INC members explaining why they had to do what they did, and these are the things we found.

Still the question lingers, ano nga ba ang issue ninyo?

We find it amusing that those who brought themselves to the streets of EDSA cannot say what is that, that they are fighting for. We find it weird that people will troop to EDSA just because. If we read their placards right they are asking for the separation of the church and state, which is technically really the case. BUT, it is also the states right to intervene when a certain church, sect, cult is violating the basic human rights of its members.

We are all irate of what happened last night. Many of us woke up late and still annoyed with the traffic that caused us to arrive home in the wee hours of the morning, thwarting our plans for today just because some people deemed it necessary to take to the streets the cause which they themselves know nothing about. And when we open our facebook and other social networking sites, we find that some members of this sect are openly threatening people, news outfits and the like, which sends a clear message to us. BULLIES! They are bullying their way to curtail justice to other people (and that includes us. And you know what is funny? They are supposed to be “people of God.” ASAN?

Sadly, this is what People Power in EDSA has brought us to be.
Come to think of it, maybe we truly are serving two different “Gods.” Because the God we know is a God of mercy, a God of peace. A God who brings peace and not create division (and yes, ang mamerhuwisyo sa kapawa ay HINDI GODLY!). The God that we serve is a God who saved us from our sins by dying on the cross. He is the Prince of Peace, our Lord Jesus Christ who teaches us NOT use our hands for so-called justice, but to bring injustices to His altar. “Vengeance is mine says the Lord.” It says in the bible, “by your fruits, you shall be known.” And wow! What fruits have you served us. NO. WE DON’T THINK SO. We truly don’t serve the same GOD.
