10 Jul This kid gives new meaning to ‘crying in the rain’
JUAN SAYS: We found this picture on facebook, and the user Terrie Yu perfectly echoed our sentiments: “This photo in today’s Inquirer perfectly captures the ordeal that school children go through when local governments suspend classes too late on a rainy day, when public funds that are supposed to go to better roads, efficient transport and de-clogging drainage systems are misused and pocketed by those in office, and when constituents of LGUs started electing officials who give them dole outs, but don’t have the best interest of their cities and the country at heart. Look at that face. I hope we all start caring again about the future of this country.”
This photo blatantly describes what it’s like for a regular Filipino when storms hit. And while we can say so much about how we reached this point, we’re using this moment to simply bask in the current plight of the nation and cry with this little boy.
