Editor’s note: Digesting the proceedings of the Senate hearing on the Mamasapano incident which led to the death of the 44 SAF troopers, we are posting this series of questions from the public with the hopes that Senators and Congress would probe into. Let the voice of the people be heard.

“We cannot go by the MILF timelines. This is the Republic of the Philippines, not the Republic of MILF. This committee sets the timeline for the investigation.” – Senator Pia Cayetano.

JUAN SAYS: Mam, haven’t you heard? The MILF has entitlement issues. They think they DESERVE to delay the hearing. They deserve NOT TO BE present when they are summoned for queries. At queries pa lang yan. Imagine what happens when they are already part of government (as indicated in the Bangsamoro Basic Law). Tatalunin nyan si Pacman sa pagiging absent mam. And they want the BBL to be passed immediately. Lord have mercy!

“It’s not right that the MILF will be questioned in private when our military and police officers are being questioned here and even taking questions from civilians like myself. That’s not right. This is not fair,” she said.

JUAN SAYS: Paimportante ampotah. Special eh. Coz we made them feel that way. We went after them, pleaded for them to give up their arms and talk about peace. Ayan, nagmamaganda na. Sakit na sa ulo.

“It took them 15 days to say they will return the government firearms? Fifteen days to return a cellphone, a wallet, a photo, which is all a mother can look at? How can we proceed this way? Is this who we are negotiating with?”

JUAN SAYS: Yes mam, that is the kind of people they are. Lumalabas na po ang tunay na kulay ng mga hinayupak. And they say they want peace when they can not even play the role of what it is to be human.
